New Economy Businesses

We are excited to share that Alam-e-Nau will be launching a service to offer new economy business ideas and plans for micro-enterprises and businesses for solopreneurs and small teams. Microenterprises and solopreneurships are essential for the prolific and equitable growth of robust, prosperous economies where opportunity is made more equal and the society is egalitarian. This, we believe, is the shape of the future economy, semblances of which are seen in the lofty Himalayas where Alam-e-Nau is located and has originated. We believe that the Himalayas, the third pole of the world, holds not just water reservoirs but also ideas for the regeneration of global economy. There are economic models here that are worthy of emulation and proliferation. The Himalayan society is connected and integrated, with inclusiveness and plurality, and plenty of boutique businesses that are traditionally handmade.

We are also bringing out a suite of business ideas that are specific to the needs and economy of our host region, Gilgit-Baltistan. An incredibly resourceful region with gifted and educated people, the region suffers from a lack of true, indigenous development and has been ideologically colonized, frazzled and deprecated.

A cohesive and locally and environmentally sensitive cohort of businesses that capitalizes on native wisdom, traditions and resources is the way to build a synchronized and mutually cooperative super-economy, a need of the times if we are to preserve and honor the people who guard some of the most valuable natural resources on Earth, chief amongst them being the glaciers of the region. Where there is water, there is life. It is a shame that the supposed guardians of the world water reservoirs are themselves neglected and deprecated. We at Alam-e-Nau aim to restore the region spiritually and socially. Aameen.

The business ideas and plans, in summarized forms, will soon be uploaded on the website under appropriate terms of sharing and release. We may also consider other avenues for sharing such plans.

Alam-e-Nau is also working to prepare business kits which aspirants may buy to launch their own micro-businesses. We will supplement the launch of businesses with training from skilled and successful entrepreneurs. Aameen.

UPDATE: On this front, our portfolio of websites has now added Harkat Barkat as a website where we envision to sell gear, tools and supplies for artisans and craftspeople of the handmade economy in Pakistan. It is possible that our idea of Business Kits will be added to it!

As always, Ramala Hubb’Allah’s model The Salaam Matrix is the basis of our work.
